Unforgettable Memories At Workplace..
Last week has been a hectic week for me at workplace including this week. From last Wednesday till yesterday, i feel like i never really sit at my counter. I was resting on Tuesday last week and i went for karaoke session with Lien Ghee and Chee Wei at Low Yat Plaza. At night after i went home and just after taking my shower, the phone rings and it was a call from my superior from HQ informing wat i should do tomorrow when i reach the workplace... probably i was the most experienced staff working at my department, they trusted me to do the things for the recruitment drive in conjunction with the Grand Opening on 25th March 2006.
Now I was supposed to do work for the The Store Card Dept and also PWP Dept...sigh. I reached my workplace at 2 pm the following day(22nd March 2006,Wed) and thers's phone call looking for me, asking me to mark down those prices for PWP items and also check if free gifts for new registration have arrive or not and i was walking all day long packing all things and prepare for tomorrow which is a big day for all of us.And when it's time for us to go home, one of the promoter i known form my workplace, Wing says that he'll be going for yam cha with my superior from HQ(not appropriate to mention his name) as he asked Wing to join the company.Well, since the superior asked me and Kok Keong go along, well, i went too. But really sorry for my mum as she's waiting outside and to go home without me...
Gotta tell the truth,when i went for tea with them, i only noe that my superior is different from when he's working.He's serious when working & have fun when he's not working like some other people.I home at about 2 am and i was really tired the next day. But i really had fun working even though i was tired as i really learning something. But some controversy happens where i'm a PWP clerk and supposed to help out at PWP Dept but i was instructed to help out at TSC Dept.
The superior who is in charge of PWP Dept talked to Manager of Loyalty Card Programme about this and my superior (the exec that i mentioned in the earlier part) was told to make changes in time table so that i can help at PWP from 24th onwards and in charge of TSC these few days. Well, there's really a lot of people during these few days, the response seems good too....but to work till 12 am everyday makes me almost sick, with me now having running nose and sore throat.Still ok cos i haven't sick yet..
Starting these week, i was busy with those reports for the Grand opening. And on Tuesday, I have to scan the items displayed on the counter to get ready for stock take which will starts on 3rd of April. I scanned till 7 pm while Lien Ghee and has been waiting for me since 6.30 pm, feel sorry for them... and at one time i can't cope with all those customers, i even asked Kok Keong to help me to wrap presents for customers and all things done by 7 pm. My colleague should have gone out earlier for dinner rather than wait till 630 pm!! Well, it's over now, I'm fine being alone at the counter but they shouldn't make me can't go home.
On Wednesday, which is yesterday, I have to prepare the report for Miss Tan which my superior asked me to do and he got nagging from Miss Tan cos everything seem to involve her. Poor guy. Me no exception cos I hear her complaining too. Well, yesterday seem not so busy for me except that we have to arrange our things in order in the store for stock which brings to me that they call me this morning to go for work even if today is my resting day!
My mum answered the phone and wake me up to answer the call but I refused to answer it and she told them that I was sick. In fact, I ALMOST fell sick. OK by now, but today got some problem logging in to the UPU website and tomorrow will be the last day t o make changes!! So cham, dunno wat to do now, juz pray that it'll be ok in time for me to make changes to my choices. But these few days i'm feeling a little bit down, probably have to do with the fact that my best friend, Lien Ghee will be going to Japan in a few days time...well, really bad for me cos I can't go out with her cos I have to work... well, have to see when I really can meet her before she goes to Japan...
