My Hand

WARNING : If you got upset easily, please do not proceed to read this post.

Well, from the picture u can guess that I hurt my hand some way. Yeah, I got hurt by a hot tray that is used for baking. I made some coffee cookies last Thursday and I got the tray out of oven after it is baked and after I put the tray down, I accidentally hit the tray with my left hand, and there you goes, my hand still hurt now due to the peeling of the skin.

A lot people been asking me what happen to my hand since the start of this trimester and also from my relatives and friends, well, thanks for their concern. I'm alright though cos I hurt even worse than this before. The dermis layer of my hand is not there, and you can see the colour of the flesh, and for unknown reason, there are pox around my wound. Never mind that, it's just a small matter to me yet I still blog about it (it probably due to the attention that I got for the wound, haha). Mine is nothing compare to Kelly's hand.

Important note : I'm no attention grabber, just blog it for updates to my friends.

That's all from me.

Le Mariage de Ma Cousine

Well well, as I am busy with my finals previously, I lack the time and patience for updates since Blogger takes forever to upload pictures. Therefore it is only now I complete with my entry after many times of creating it.

First, it got to be the marriage of my cousin sister which is much talked about one year before the marriage date as this is the wedding ceremony of my father’s side relatives since the wedding of my cousin brother 10 years ago. It starts on 8th December 2006 (Fri) where there is a dinner at her house, and also not forgetting the hair-combing ceremony.

On 9th December 2006, Saturday is the Chinese wedding ceremony where the groom and his so-called brothers will be fooled (can’t think of better word to say) by those ‘zhi muis’ – first, he had to dance (somewhat like ‘Para Para dance’) , then went to hang on clothes and also fry an egg which is done by his brothers...haha. Too lazy to go into details of what he did to get his bride... Then, my cousins and I went to the groom’s house before going to the newlyweds new home and then back to my aunt’s house as they need to present teas to the relatives of my cousin sis, the bride. Imagine there are 10 couples to present tea to for the bride’s mum side!

Well, night is nothing much as I went to Hartamas Square with my cousins to hang out and then decide where to go after the dinner there as we can’t enter clubs as there are 2 underage. So we decided to go for a movie in 1 Utama after discussing for almost one hour but end up in Cineplex Leisure next to ‘The Curve’ after we went to wrong way. Watched ‘Casino Royale’- a Bond movie which is slightly different from the usual as the Bond is without the high-tech gadgets. A rather decent movie actually. Slept at about 5 a.m.

10th December 2006 (Sun), the big day (or the most-talked about where all of us search for a long time for a gown for the dinner) finally arrived. I woke up at 10 something but too tired that I took a nap in the afternoon – I even kicked my sis for waking me up! My cousin do the hair of me, my sis and my cousin since 2 p.m. and even do the make up for us. Really wanna thank her for this. Dinner is at J.W. Marriot and starts at 8.30 p.m. (never starts on time) and in between the dishes slideshows was shown and there are bands that sing on that day. All of us took a lot of pictures that day, even after the dinner until 1 a.m.!

We cousins then went for a cuppa at Starbucks till 2 something and went to McD but cancelled the plan as the place can’t accommodate 12 of us. Stupid place as the manager wouldn’t allow us to sit upstairs as the area is closed. Went back to the hotel and hang out there before going home and sleep at 5 a.m.

C'est moi!

A happy family photo, it's been a long time that we took a picture together.

The main attraction of the night, the bride and the groom.

Cousins of my dad's side that is of almost the same age (FYI, the cousins age can range from 13 to 44, which is a big difference)

Me taking photos with my cousins, half-brothers I can say (both of them have the same surname with me). Left: Me with Mervin, my eldest uncle's son.

Right: Me with Jonathan, my second uncle's son. He is the smartest guy in our family, with a lot of acheivements academically or socially. Didn't see him for 14 years and most of us thought he would someone nerdy but to our surprise he is quite smart in appearence.

11th December 2006 (Mon) Went to my aunt’s home as my cousin from Singapore will be going later in the evening. Then went out for dinner together before call it a day.

Why I make an entry for this? Cos it's the highlight of the year for me, unhappy things happened, but this a happy event that makes everybody lights up... Been through things that are unhappy, but this the event where I feel happy meeting up with relatives that I had not seen for a long time, getting updates from them...

Some of the words that are used among us cousins this year : Mat rempit, cicakman... Rememebr those times spent hanging out, movies, BBQ and yeah, not forgetting the lost car park ticket..

That's all for now.
