I'm restless!!Sigh!

Well,since the opening of The Store, I had to work full almost everyday except for one day, which i work at afternoon shift. Today i work afternoon shift too even though i know there will be a lot customer today. Sigh i'm free only when i work afternoon shift and that's why i take this opportunity to write a blog!

From the first day(opening day) till the third day of business,i basically work till almost 1 am even though we closed at 12am cos there are a lot of customer,especially the first day where all the customers rush to get those free gifts and contest forms. Things almost get out of control,people not lining up,pushing here and there,and i said sorry to every customer and this amounts to more than a hundred times!!They are still lining up even after 12 and luckily we are out of contest forms by 12.30am and that's when all the customers began to go home.The worse thing happens that day is two customer service staff went home at 1opm making us short of staff. I had to run up and down the stairs just to get things for customer many times.Got really tired running the stairs and even till now when warehouse staff sees me,they will tell me not to run.Haha...

The second day which is 15 Jan,Sunday,the crowd is not as big as 1st day but still people waiting at the main entrance even before the entrance is opened!I work as The Store Card coordinator which means i process the form and print the card for customers at the main entrance cos the manager for The loyalty card programme(The Store Card) doesn't want me to help with PWP and even i can't really go inside the CS counter cos the HQ people don't like the fact that the PWP asked me to help them(i am a PWP clerk but was given the task to handle TSC the 1st 3 days). But the worst problem that day day gotta be the card printer is not functional. I had to run from main entrance to the customer service counter to get the card printed and run back to main entrance to give the card to them. I was sweating so badly as i was really nervous when i see those customers waiting impatiently for the card.I was getting impatient too!!And for one hour the card printer at the CS counter is not functioning too.So,i had to tell the customers to get their card after they went for shopping. Well, the problem solved by noon and we can use the card printer.Relieved~I wrked till 1 am that day...sigh...because some stubborn customers won't go home even after the business hours and there's one customer who is still applying card at 12.30am.What i can say about is i feel likee i'm working at a war place during the first 2 days.

Well,by Monday,16 Jan,the crowd is not THAT BIG anymore.And today there's a DJ at our counter.Well,he's kinda col,u know,wearing those hip hop clothes,cap and accessories.It's not the first time he's been there,the 1st time is Saturday.He had worked at Endah Parade before but haven't seen him before over there.Sigh... but he's kinda nice in person and i feel real sorry for criticising him for not good enough compare to an Indian guy who came on Sunday who speaks fluent Cantonese...better than us Chinese. The DJ treats us a dinner at Red Antz,accompanying us even though himself is a vegetarian. Even though he ordered some fried food,he demanded that the oil must be fresh(nvr fried anything)!!I was laughing like mad when i heard his order.Haha...I feel like working at a war palce too cos i have to climb those stairs to get things uncountable times.

These few days was kinda nice with not that much people anymore but kinda fed up with the staff at the customer service counter cos two of the Malay girls are really lazy not doing anything,go home early(as early as 10pm)come in late almost everyday aand even get off day on Friday(yesterday) making us short of staff all the time!!Thursday is the worst day for me,i lost RM 10,got lots of customer in the morning,making me busy running up and down the stairs(i'm the only person who is willing to get stock from store),got commented for those paging,and short of staff with two come in late!!Get really frustrated until i'm speechless.I even almost scold people in front of customers which is unethical for customer service!!

Yesterday,Friday 20 Jan,i got a message from Lien Ghee asking me out,feel like going but can't cos i've got to work...sigh...only have off day after Chinese New Year...really wanna go out with Lien Ghee cos it's like been years since i went out with her and she's going to Japan this year...i'm sure i'll miss her persence...There's a recruitment drive for The Store Card later taht day and i was given a duty at the Frm Fill-in counter but no people fill in form...think because of the location of the table which is not strategic...but got the chance to speak with the staff from Lazo Diamond,promoting TSC to them and in the meantime talk to them,nice feeling, considering the fact that i was tired and bored.Later that night i went back to customer service which is like a war place for me,i felt more relaxed.When The Store closes,there's is two customers left and that is when i saw a guy who act in TOP advertisement at our counter and i asked him whether he had act in an ad b4.He denied it at first but admit it later.Haha...

Luckily for me,i decided to work afternoon shift today,making me have time to rejuvenate and blogging.haha.. But it's kinda nice working over there,seeing people from all walks of life..knowing some cool people...the best gotta be some Chinese people and 3 Malay cashiers...the best gotta be Zam,who is really smart and kinda good looking with a muscular body...never seen him get mad before and he's willing to help us at the PWP & TSC counter and knows those things really well,he can really serve those customers well and there's Faizal who knows about the free gifts and TSC well, sometimes i've got to refer to him for the free gifts.And finally Hazmi who is really funny and help us a lot aroung the counter covering everything, until sometimes left his counter unattended!3 nice person indeed!

Yahoo!!!!Finally the Grand Opening of The Store!

After one week in dark about the actual date of the opening of The Store, finally it'cs confirmed that the opening date of The Store Sri Petaling is tomorrow!I kinda told everyone the possible opening date that the staff in the company told me about,whether it's the stafff or the people from HQ...well,those executive from HQ actually....I was kinda feel bad for those people coming to The Store at the 10th of Jan(which by the way is the confimed date but stilll not open yet),with hopes in their mind to get some bargains...some even purposely drive there from some far places....I was asked about the opening of The Store endless times everytime i went for lunch with friends...we can't blame them....maybe it is because of the attention-grabbing uniform of ours(we're wearing red in case u guys dunno).Really tired of answering their questions cos we don't have any definite answer....Sigh.

Actually it's a nice experience working inside there...considering the fact i know a lot of new people over there and i got some of my classmates over there.I can go for lunch with them which means i don't have to eat alone!Kinda boring if i eat alone.Well,the worst part of the job is-well,can't be considered worst though-the people form HQ come to give us direction about what to do at our department (Customer service department). Everything will be in chaos!They will direct us to do some silly things or two different people giving us different order,making us confused as to follow who's instruction.

The funniest person over there gotta be Eason,as i mentioned in my previous blog..He gave one briefing to us about The Store Card one day...but the briefing lasted for 4 hours!Is that what u consider briefing??It's more like a talk...but he's kinda strange in some ways that i really wanna laugh out loud when i hear wat he said during the briefing but i gotta control it...too bad...i dun think it's appopriate for me to talk bad about him behind his back...but he's kinda strange in real...there's one time when he counted wronly of the amount of envelopes...supposed to be 750 but i htnk he counted 12 in excess..luckily i checked for him...ok, that's all about those experience over there...Too bad i can't have offf day until after Chinese New Year...i also have to work until 12am for 3 days in a row...Well,kinda not appropriate for me to say bad things about my 'heads'...i dun think i have time for blogs anymore currently...sigh..

My Experience At My Workplace

Wow!!1 week passed so quickly!I don't even realise that I've worked for a week!It's been a very nice experience but it's a bit too bored sometimes.The Store hasn't open yet,so basically my area of job is unknown,I don't even really do something related to my job.From the 31st of Dec 2005 to the 1st of Jan 2006, i don't even know wat to do becos the stupid supervisor is not here yet even until today,all the people in my department,PWP(which stands for Purchase With Purchase-even with a long name like this but the job basically covers customer service) never seen her yet,even the old staff here.The supervisor is a new staff and she had went for training at the HQ and i don't think that she even knows wat the area of her job.

Back to the first 3 days of my work at Sri Petaling The Store,the first day over there is really bad cos there's no air-cond over there and the place is DAMN HOT AND DUSTY!I was sweating so badly that my shirt is wet and i was sneezing so badly with the dust flying around,and i wonder how all those people can the working condition!In the morning,i don't really do anything at all until noon where i helped some people do with the price tags for those kids and baby shoes.We were putting on those tags on those shoes and the place is really messy by the time we finished our job with all those boxes lying around and the job is not finished yet cos there are more shoes coming.

So,we continued the job on the 1st of Jan,and basically all those shoes were labelled before we go back.Wat a relieved cos we were like putting tags for like thousand pair of shoes!Imagine that!My hands feel painful from all those putting labels on the shoes.And by today,the air-cond is switched on but only at the supermarket department,so it's still hot in there but i don't sweat like mad anymore.Great!

On the third day,2nd of Jan,the air cond at the whole place is on and i feel relieved cos i suffered from sore throat and running nose breathing in all those dust.Since the job at the shoes department is finished,i sat on the 1st hour of working,until people for the VJ Jeans(Voir company) came.I helped them sort out their clothes,help them hang it on,and arrange them according to their size from small to big-which themselves din do it-i did it cos i like everything in order from small to big.And a Malay girl which is the assistant supervisor,helped out too.She was really slow in everything she do and she's lazy too.Oh my gosh,I really can't stand the way she do her things,real slow.Arghhh....how can i stand her for months working at the same department with her working attitude!

By noon,2 people for my department,came here by evening.Since they are the seniors,they know wat to do and we begin to sort our things in warehouse-sorting out thing according to their type-the boxes are so heavy and again,no air cond there,i pick up the things real hard!
And by 4th day,3rd of Jan,still no work in the morning but we wiped our counter which is tiring,climbing up and down,and at the evening,the people from the HQ came.That's when we really had some job to do.They asked us to arrange the stuff as they like it.Then an executive named Eason(strange,i was like thinking about Eason Chan when i saw his name and start to think about Eason Chan songs)asked me to look for cloth.I was seaching like mad for a piece of cloth everywhere,asking people if they had it or not...it's really hard to look for one since everyone is using it...and finally found one!YES!!Rejoice!!Yeah...some executive huh,asking their subordinate to look for a piece of cloth,searching like mad...while he only stand there waiting for one...they should tell us where to look for one or what to do to get one cos i was looking like mad!!...hate it!!...yeah one day i vow to be a executive who can order people to do something. I juz basically continue my job till it's time to go back...the people from HQ back earlier than us...

And basically on 4th Jan,we were arranging the stuff at the counter.Till this evening where the people from HQ came again.They introduce themselves....well,they are nice people luckily ...then,we can work well with them if they are nice.They told us the opening is on 10th of Jan not 6th of Jan as wat they said...well,it's ok then,since the tasks were finished here but feel bored cos have to wait a few days more before the work started...sigh.I got my uniform today,which is red and pink-my fav colours!-i love it actually...but kinda too formal...fine.Well, that's wat i do these few days,hope that when The Store is open, i don't feel bored with no customers coming to our counter. I rather be busy than felling bored with nothing to do...cos i feel it's like getting a pay without doing anything...

It's 2006 - Happy New Year!!

Well, New Year finally arrived! Actually I had to work on New Year Day...the first day at The Store in Sri Petaling where i got transferred from Pudu Plaza where i go for training..It's really hot and dusty in there as the construction of the building is going on and the air-cond is not switched on.I was suffering from sore throat at that time and the condition there make it worse!I thought i was working overtime until 10pm at that day since Mr Teh of Pudu Plaza told us that we gotta work full till 10pm and i was thinking maybe i can't go for countdown if i work until 10 but then the ppl at Sri Petaling told us that we juz have to work until 7pm so i was relieved cos i can go for countdown!

Well,i went home at 7 but i waited for bus for about an hour before i decide to go home by bus cos i thought that bus will not be on time cos some roads are blocked for new year celebration...Stopped a taxi,and back at home by 8pm...really tired by then...I received message from Sharron earlier asking if i'm going for countdown...I was not really sure if i'm going onot cos it's raining at that time....i had my dinner and bathed and by about 900pm it's not raining outside...So i send message to Lien Ghee and Sharron to ask them if they are going for countdown.But then Lien Ghee said she can't go cos her mum don't allow her to.I was like...Oh No...wat should i do now cos no one is going...but Sharron said she's going so we planned to go to KLCC cos Daniel is performing there...but this is juz one of the reason(Sharron is also Daniel fan)....The other is my dad doesn't really like me going to Sg Wang cos there is some chaos happening over there during the Christmas countdown.

We went there at 10pm.I send message to Lien Ghee,persuaded her to go but she said she said she'll be going to Sg Wang....By then,i was really desperately wanna ask her out,so i called her.I was like talking to her on the phone,persuade her to go for a long time to ask her to go to KLCC cos i'm on my way there while she asked me to join her at Sg Wang...but Sorry girl ,i'm on my way to KLCC,come join me there.But finally we come to a conclusion that if Chee Wei is willing to go to KLCC,then she'll be there.I called Chee Wei but can't contact him,..He was like had switched off his phone!I was like "WAT!Bad Day la.Wat happen to him?"He never switch off his handphone before.

So finally,i had to go there with juz another fren,Sharron - two person!Can u believe it?!We reached there about 11pm and i was searching for a toilet-probably becos i the weather i cold cos i din drink any water before this. KLCC is closed,so i can't go to the toilet there.Asked a guard for direction of toilet outside the building but was treated rudely but i still talk to him nicely and also said thanx.We then walked around and finally reached Mandarin Oriental-a 5-star hotel-ask the guard there and but they said the washroom is in the venue where countdown is held.He jokingly say that i pay RM88 for the party and i can use the washroom.I was like,OK and i went away but kinda relieved cos he was such a nice person probably associated with the fact it's a 5-star hotel.But by then i had no choice but to wait till i go home but i dun feel like going to toilet anymore....so went back to the venue but still can't find the stage,only saw the screen.So we walked around the park but can't find it and someone touched my butt a few times-i hate it-so we resolved to juz watch the screen,still figuring where the stage by watching the screen but by then,Daniel is performing-love it-but juz 2 songs which he really used to-Heaven Knows and Mimpi-too bad,he should sing his Mandarin songs too.Well,finally give up to find where the stage is cos Daniel had performed. Waited till 12 and voila,the fireworks is really nice.Really enjoyed it.

After watching the fireworks,we rushed to the LRT station but got lost.So i asked a policeman for directions,but still couldn't find b4 i asked a Indonesian where it is-she knows better than i do-and finally got the direction but when we reached there,the entrance is crowded with ppl.We can't enter the station cos the guard blocked the entrance cos the station is really crowded and gotta wait for 20 minutes packed like sardine b4 we were allowed in.Rushed to the station and got on the train.By that time,the train is not really that crowded anymore.Got home by 2 am.Really enjoy the whole experience cos it's the first time i went for countdown outside but kinda disappointed Lien Ghee can't join me at KLCC.

It's new year but din really make any new year resolution cos i dun really noe wat i wanna do this year!I think i juz keep it for some time when i noe what i want for this year.
