I'm DUPED!!

Tharan duped me!!

I wanted to share this with you guys even though it is kinda embarassing cos I wanna let all you guys know how tricky things will go if you are too committed in doing things right. This is the story:

I was walking back to my hostel room when I saw Tharan with Shasha and Alvin at food court. I was in a hurry as I am going to have class at 8p.m. (it was 6 something when I am walking back to room) so I just wave at them and then proceed to go on. But Tharan call me as he wanted to inform me something. I approached him (I forgotten the content of the exact conversation with the passage of time) and that's how the conversation goes:

Tharan : Hey, Keat Yee. Today, I received a call from the Buddhist speaker. What's his name huh? Brother Vijaya right?

Me : Yeah. Why?

Tharan : Mr. Vijaya is the one that asked us to provide transport for him from his house in USJ right?

Me : Yeah. What happened?

Tharan : He asked for RM 150 for his payment for the Interfaith Talk.

Me : HUH?! REALLY?!! It's already over for one month and he did not ask for payment when I requested him to come here. And the account for treasury is already closed right? When did he called you?

Tharan : You see, when Shasha I were in th SRC room today, Mr. Vijaya called to the SRC room and requested to talk to the director of CF, Shasha (in case you don't know, CF is the short for College Fest) and Shasha passed the phone to me and Mr Vijaya asked about the payment for the Interfaith Talk. He asked me to tell the Interfaith Manager, that means you, to call him back. You got his number?

Me : Yeah. But only his office number cos he did not have a handphone.

Tharan : Ok then. You call him to deal about it.

Shasha : He's the one that asked Richard and Ida to pick him up from his house right?

Me : Yeah.

Shasha : Then he's the one that called today. You call him to ask him about the details and solve this as soon as possible.

Me : Alright. (Turns to Tharan) I've done with all the things already yet suddenly there i some problem like this happening. I thought I'm done with all those stress and now wanted to relax. Good, now I have extra things to do.

Tharan : Keat Yee, Keat Yee. Try to get to know the details from him first. (Turns to Shasha) It is now still April therefore, it's still April Fool right?

Shasha : Yeah.

Me : ?

Tharan : April's Fool!! You are punked!! Brother Vijaya never called!!

Me : What the...? You lied to me!! I felt strange as he never told me about this before! You are so bad Tharan!! You scared me to death!!

Tharan : Haha!! It's still April and therefore it is still April Fool.

Me : Damn. It's not first of April man. I feel like crying man.

(Squeeze Tharan's neck and shoulder)

And that's how I am duped. I can't believe that! I am done with my job as Interfaith Talk manager and out of the blue someone told me that there's more to do. And Alvin sitting there quietly trying to control himself from laughing by looking at the phone and Shasha playing along as well with Tharan giving some lame excuse as April Fool's day is for the whole month of April.

That's cruel man. How could they do that to me! And I looked like a fool. Tharan gave me a BIG "HELP" by telling the hostel committee about it and they recorded a video asking me how I feel about the whole punk thing.

I'm gonna remember this. And Thara, I'm gonna get back to you for what you did to me.

I'LL BE BACK!!

MCM meeting

Yesterday night, I went to the MCM-student dialogue meeting as hostel committee is the sub-committee of the Student Representative Council (SRC). It is a dialogue between the MCM (Management Council Meeting) and students where students voice out their dissatisfaction over the management of the university. The attendance of the meeting is about 50 person.

During the meeting, the international students complained the most while local students did not have as much as complaints as them. Strange huh? International students are more outspoken than local students when it comes to voice out their dissatisfaction.

And I heard all the time that students complained that MMU sucks. And when I asked them, what is of MMU that sucks, they can never answer my question. They will just go, "Everything about MMU sucks." So if MMU really that bad, you shouldn't be studying here in the first place OR you can transfer to another university. I had forwarded the message to people that complained about the university all the time yet they did not show up.

So I hope that there people that don't even have the courage to complain, don't talk bad about the university anymore. I f you had anything to say, just go to the management. It is the best way to get your voice heard!!

And I got to know how the students can sometimes act so uneducated. The facilities that is provided for the hostel residents is vadalised badly. It may got to do with the mentality that they pay to live in the hostel and they can do whatever they want. I wonder, will they vandalised the stuff that in their own home that way? I'm sure they will not.

It's very disppointing to see them to act that way. They had been through so many years of education yet they still act like they are some uneducated person. An uneducated person might even act better than university students.

It might be due to the mentality that they think themselves as university students and that they are superior to others and they can act in whatever way they want and don't care about the rules. Would you even throw rubbish everywhere you want at home? Would you vandalised your tables and chairs at home? Would you even draw on your house wall? NO right. So act like you are staying at home then! Be more civilised.

That's all for now.

I'm signing off.

The Train

It's the time of the year again - Sales!!

Thus, I went to mid valley on saturday with my mum and sis to look for bargain items.

We shopped till 8pm, and we went home by KTM. We heard an announcement that there will be delay on the train schedule as there is a landslide happened around the area of Negeri Sembilan.

Since the KTM Mid Valley is one of the busiest station during weekend, the station will be crowded with people. And the crowd keep building up while waiting for the train to arrive. The train was delayed by 10 minutes. And by the time the train arrived, it is almost full.

No doubt, all of the people will rush into the train so that they can get home earlier and would not want to wait for the next train to arrive.

Inside the train, people was packed just like sardin fishes in a can. And this is not the first time KTM trains not arriving on schedule and that day, landslide make the crowd even more than usual!!

It is even worse than you take a Monorail during rush hour. There will be a large crowd when take a Monorail during rush hour but at least there would be a safety guard at each door that guide people to line up and go in accordingly to go into the train.

Not with KTM. No safety guard, no barrier and the people will just push you from behind, squeezing in order to get in. I can't even get to hold any bar inside the train. It is so crowded that you can stand and balance yourself without holding anything. Imagine that!!

I'm not going to Mid Valley anytime soon unless there is someone who will give me a ride there or I go home early, before 4 p.m.

That's all for now.

Busy, Busy

It's been a long time since my last post.

The reason: Busy with assignments and also exams.

Exams, exams, exams.

Assignments, assignments, assignments.

Tutorials, tutorials, tutorials.

AND, all these never end.

Exam took most of my time as I need to study for it and ALL the exams were on Friday!! That means I need to study from Monday to Friday and to top it all, I need to do my tutorials and assignments.

Last week was my Macroeconomics quiz, last last week was my Principles of Marketing mid term.

This week... there's a submission of my Managerial Finance assignment. And oh yeah, Advance Management English presentation is today.

Not quite good during presentation as I can't speak smoothly. Whatever. It's over now.

I had Managerial Accounting quiz today and there will be a Managerial Statistics quiz on Wednesday. Tired, tired... When will the quiz ends?

Next week will be my second Principles of Marketing mid term. And week after that, English test.

I'm gonna got burned out from all these tests. Luckily I'm not involved in any activities right now.

There's still one more month till my 3 weeks semester break. If only I am not involved in Orientation. Went for interview to be part of the committee.

I don't know if I should hope that I become part of the committee (I had to sacrifice 2 weeks holidays if I'm involved) or I'm not part of the committee. Just the SRC decide for me....

* P/s: Thanks to the all the comments from all you guys regarding the "I'm Alone" post. I'm not worrying about it anymore... Will just let things be... As people said “顺其自然”, haha...

Coming up: Long due post of Singapore trip.....

That's all for now. Back to my assignment.

Stuck in Lift!!

Something unexpected happened to me on Monday..... Guess what it is?
.
.
.
.
.

.

I got stuck in a lift in MMU!!! How rare that can be?

I am walking with my course mate to look for a lecturer for consultation regrading our assignment and we wait for a lift to go up and when the life is here, we went inside with a few girls and guys that were there too. Then we press the button for the desired floor. The lift door then close. And we were inside, waiting for it go up for like 10 seconds but it is not moving. So we think that things might not be right. So we try to press the button to open the door. But the door would not open!!

We try again but to no avail. So one of the girls press the bell to alert people about it. There is no one coming for rescue even though we press the button. Strangely, I was calm inside the lift. No screaming, no talking out loud, just smiling.

My friend felt so strange that I am calm. But the truth is, when you are in an emergency situation, you are not supposed to be panic. Some of them start panicking while I still stay calm and cool. COOL. That's a good thing.

Luckily for us, it opened after not long and we went out hastily. Some girls that saw us came out of the lift was trying to go into the lift but luckily stopped by us (you might never know what happened when they 'board' it).

Tell you, it's not a good thing to be stucked in the lift. Don't ever try to think of getting stuck in a lift. You might never know what happened.

That's all of now.

I'm Alone!!!

Many things been going on around me. And now only I realised how much I left out....

It's seems like most of the people that I know are getting attached. Damn. And most of the people that I know who are now international students in some countries are being attached. Double the worry thoughts of feeling left out. And I'm here, being SINGLE! Sigh.

It's not a big deal to me or anyone for that matter. Only when some 'over concerned' people who are not close to me asking me if I had any bf or not is making me frustrated. I'm fine with my close friends asking though.

I'm left out in this. Damn.

Whatever.

I don't care.

I hate it when people make a big deal out of this.

Of course, I don't want to be alone all my life. I believe that there is arrangement by God for me.

That's all for now.

I'm signing off.

Back to studying Marketing where exam will be held this Friday.

Farewell for Lien Ghee

Well, 2 weeks ago (23rd March 2007 to be exact) , I went out with Lien Ghee and Chee Wei for an outing since Lien Ghee will be leaving for Japan on 25th March. Wen Jian can't join us as he is working. He's been so hardworking in earning money working part time while studying nowadays, probably because he is excited to get money from working. Haha.. just joking, I know the reason why he wanna works.

Too bad Edwin was in Malacca cos he had his Mid-term exam (I had mine too, but luckily not on that day). And that day wad his birthday, so Chee Wei called him and all of us wished him Happy Birthday.

So only the 3 of us hang out together. We decided to had our lunch in Piccolo Mondo but considering it is quite expensive for a meal, we went to Hauted Restaurant located at Sungai Wang. The place not really haunted anyway, just a little dark with some spooky designs and they had staff dressed in dracula robes. There is a magician who perform magic with cards.

There's a funny scenario where Chee Wei didn't realise that the person had a card on his mouth until we told him so. Haha... They also get a staff wearing a dracula's mask wearing a robe that went to scare people around the restaurant area. Luckily we are not scared by him, haha...

This is the set lunch that ordered by me and Lien Ghee, Napoleanita Fettuccine with crispy crackers and chicken ham (can't really remember the name). Chee Wei ordered a spaghetti with meaty tomato sauce (something like Spaghetti Bolognaise).

Fettuccine... My lunch for the day... Mmm Mmm...quite tasty!

Lien Ghee with her new 'in' hairstyle.

Pretty Zac... that's his new name after he ordered a drink with the word 'pretty' in it which is there in front of him..

Me and Chee Wei... my mum said I looked mature than him in this photo... Is that true? Do I look really that mature?

After that, we went to Hong Kong-styled restaurant in Low Yat Plaza called 'Good Happiness 皆大欢喜' where Chee Wei had a bad experience with the captain there. Since he's ok with going there, we hang out at that place.
Yeah, the captain of the store is there to harass Chee Wei again, with his words. 可怜 Chee Wei... The captain is over friendly, telling us his story that strangers would not bother to know. Maybe he has no one to talk to about his experiences and keep it for so long in his heart... haha.
And he told me that there is no 鸳鸯 and I resort to order milk tea and Chee Wei got the 鸳鸯 that he ordered earlier when I was not there. Damn... He's sooooo bad!

Me and Lien Ghee, can u see that we wear shirt with matching green colours?

Our attempt in camwhoring... the resulting photos are not so good.

So we asked the 'over-friendly' captain to take photos for us. I tell him how to use it and he tell me that he's not that dumb not knowing how to use a camera. I didn't mean that, cos different cameras have different and buttons might be different ma... Damn... He took a picture of us and...

here is it!

All ends not soon afterwards as me and Lien Ghee rushing home for dinner with family. I'm having dinner later with my newlywed aunt who is from Singapore. The food is quite nice and in huge portion! 11 of us can't even finish all of it! Imagine that!

What a nice day I had that day... I did not go to airport to see Lien Ghee depart to Japan. I hate saying farewell. I sure will cry and so she went back to Japan on 25th March 2007. Had to wait for one year later for her to be back for having good times again.

Well, that's all for now.
