OMG! OMG! Jamie-Lynn Is PREGNANT!!

OMG! You won't believe what I saw in news today!
Jamie-Lynn Spears is PREGNANT!!

I saw it on my friend's status and when I'm about to search about it in Yahoo, I saw it featured in the website. So, I save my time on searching it. For more details, you may read it here.

When Britney annouced that she will remain virgin until she is married, people made a big deal out of it, and when she said that she is not a virgin anymore at the age of 21, it made headlines all over the world.
And now it is Jamie-Lynn's make even bigger headline with the news that she is pregnant at the age of 16!! Even Britney is pregnant at the age of 23! As innocent as Jamie-Lynn may look, she's not that innocent. Luckily, she did not consider abortion as an option to run away from responsibilities.

It's might just another news of the day but underlying it is a bigger social problem. Pre-marital sex is so common and it can happens to anyone. Did people even consider the consequences of their action? Did the ladies know that they will get pregnant? Some get married after they know that they are pregnant without considering properly. And the marriage ends up with a lot of problems.

People are bombarded with sex-laced information everywhere. It's available to anyone at anytime. Even women's magazine will even talk about pre-marital sex. What to do? Sex sells. It's a fact. Anyway, p
eople responsible for their own actions. It's their freedom to choose what they wanted to do. I am not here to judge anyone. But "think before you do anything".

By the way, there's 2 people who saw my status about Jamie-Lynn is pregnant and they use the word OMG! What a coincidence, the report is posted on the Yahoo! Entertainment omg! beta website. The news real shocking eh? Really OMG!

The Last 2 Weeks of Year 2007

It's towards the end of the year again. Assignments submission date due, exam is coming. The last 2 weeks of the year 2007 will be busy, happy and emotional for me.

I AM BUSY because...
Assignment submission will due on Friday and I just started to compile it. There's thousands of words that I needed to be read through and editing needed to be done. It's hard to be the one who compile everything, you need to ensure that there is no mistakes in the work done by other group members and it's even more stressful that you are the one who will determine the marks that is given to the assignment. If you did a bad job, there goes your marks.

I AM HAPPY because...
My cousin sister will be getting married on Christmas Eve, and all my relatives will be busy during that time that few days and yeah, my cousin brother, Joon Sing is coming back from Australia, haha. OF course, we cousins have to allocate time for him to hang out together. He even remind us to make ourselves free during that period, haha. He will be bringing back wine with him, hopefully, our cousins' gathering will be memorable. We had memorable gatherings and outings every year, with lots of laughter. I remember we will laugh like mad for some reasons everytime we hang out together, and there will be no exception this year.

*Singy, remember to allocate time for us ya, we cousins for sure will have time for you. You are the VVIP for us every year, haha. Remember to bring back some nice wine ya, and don't let other people to finish the wine that are meant for us!! *wicked smile* I'm gonna make you drunk and dig some secret from you, haha. Hopefully, all of us won't get drunk. I think all of us won't want to tell our own secrets.*

I AM EMOTIONAL because...
Yuen Mei will be leaving Malaysia for the United States at 31st December 2007 to further her studies. It will be emotional for me to see every of my friend left. First is Joon Sing to Australia, then Lien Ghee to Japan, Nean Hua to Taiwan, Wen Jian to the UK and now, Yuen Mei to the United States to pursue their dreams, their hopes for the future. I never bid farewell to anyone of them in the airport because I know that I could not control myself from crying.

When someone will be leaving I can't control myself from shedding tears. It's very painful to see someone close to you leaving for another place far from you. You can't see them face to face, and they are living in a world where the culture is different from yours, and you can't never understand their pain, their lonliness, their desires, how they long to be near to their family and friends...

Yuen Mei had been really a good friend of mine since Form 6. We had known each other since Form 2 when we were librarians back then but we are not close. We were in the same class for Form 5 yet we have our own gang of friends. Then in Lower Six, we were in class of 6R3 where because we were undecided between taking Physics or Biology as our 4th subject. Then, both of us together changed to 6R2 where we still go to Physics class but after a while, she gave up. I gave up on Physics towards the end of the year 2004.

We will sit together in the Biology lab, where we will argue over the facts in Biology, Chemistry, PA and also Maths. I remember sometimes I will argue with Sharron over the facts and you will asking both of us to stop. But still, Sharron and me will be arguing over facts for countless times that you get immuned to it, hehe. Both of us also have a share of arguments over small things like Orlando Bloom and I will said things about him. There's one time we argue over fairy tales in life and till now, I still stand on my opinion that there is no fairy tale in life.

We argue in so many things for so many times that Wan Teang (which sat next to me and in front of you) and Nean Hua (which sat behind me and next to you) will know when we will start arguing and they will say, "They are going to start again." After arguing for a long time, Nean Hua and Wan Teang will make a conclusion for us and we will ask for Sharron's opinion (which sat behind Nean Hua). She will be lazy to even give in our antics because she was busy studying, haha.

I remember Sharron will be annoyed when I start calling "Yuen Mei arrrrrr" and you start calling "Keat Yee arrrrrr" because she sat between us in the Biology lab but then she will continue studying. Till now I still wonder how Sharron can put up to our name calling and continue studying, haha. But I like the innocence and the sincerity that you have. You will be amazed by new things that I told you because and the enthusiasm will be potrayed by the look in your eyes.

May you have a good experience in US and we here in Malaysia will still remain as your friends. The new experiences there will be an eye-opener for you, to venture into better things in future.

That's all for now. I wish that everyone will have a memorable end-of-the-year celebration.

With Love from,

Keat Yee

Keat Yee is Back!!

Keat Yee is Back! Keat Yee is Back!! *Clap hands*

Yeah, Keat Yee is back after an almost 3 months hiatus... I had not been updating my blog since September due to the hectic schedule as I was busy with assignments and then studied as I had my finals in October. After finals was my holiday, but I was too lazy to update my blog because I wanted to have a rest after a hectic semester - sleepless nights because of completing assignments, study for exams, presentations - AND I also suffered from writer's block once again.

Back to new semester, the schedule is as hectic as ever, with case studies every week for one subject, then busy with DJ Club activities, Yellow Army and also Orientation Committee trip. I do not have much time for myself as also family, where I went back to my home for only twice in 5 weeks. I used to go home almost every week, but this semester I think I had only seen my parents for less than 100 hours. Thus, my blog is abandoned as well.

The last time I went home was on 30th November but my parents was in Singapore that time. So left my brother, my sis and me in the house. I cooked the breakfast and lunch for them but it was just some processed food and it makes me missed my mum's cooking. I can't even remember the last time I ate my home-cooked food.

Enough of that ramble, back to some recent happenings. I just went to Orientation Committee 2007 Port Dickson trip which is from 7th December 2007 to 9th December 2007 and I came back to Cyberjaya feeling unwell. I have flu and also allergy which make me feel unwell. I thought my allergic problem will be over in a matter of days. Instead, it became worse that I need to see a doctor yesterday as I can't stand the itch anymore. Red spots covered both of my legs and hands for now.

Today, I felt so tired that it's hard for me to wake up. Thus, I did not go for a Yellow Army task which I had promised to go for. I felt dizzy this whole afternoon and I talked crap to my room mates without realising it. Luckily, a Nando's waiter lighten up my day!! I went to the Nando's stall in MPH carpark to collect payment from them and then helped my room mate to buy her food at the Nando's stall. The waiter gave me a pack of rice and coleslaw for FREE and he even gave me a cold drink instead of the normal drink! What a nice guy!! Even though it is just some small matters, but I do appreciate what he has done! If it is not for him, I might have been gloomy and flushed-out this whole day.

More updates soon where I will be posting pictures of activities that I had participated in which consumed SO much of my time. It's been a long time since I have time for myself...

That's all for now.

Experiences as DJ @ Radio MMU

Yesterday marked the last day I'll be going on-air on Radio MMU for this semester. Chance for me to go on-air next semester will be based on the seniors' evaluation on me. Regardless of the outcome, I enjoyed every moment that I got to go on-air. Fear, joy, nervous or some small hiccups are what I experienced as a DJ.

Things had been going smoothly for me as I had the guidance of my seniors. I consider myself lucky compare to others as I can work with different seniors as my partner stop going on-air due to personal reason. Different people have different outlook and different style when they go on-air and I got the chance to learn from them.

Thanks to my first partner, Edward, for he had given the first guide when going on-air. If not for him, I would not have learned so much about being in studio and people listen to me when I am talking in the studio. I had nervousness for the first few weeks; and thanks to Edward as he covered when I’m stuck without words.

It’s a compliment for me when I got to know that he realize my existence (and even my name!) and according to him, he remembered me because I was mentioned in Critical Thinking class. I thought that I will be a low profile student here where not many people recognise me when I am here in university unless I take the same subjects with them.

Next would be Fam, the Cantonese slot manager, where I go on-air with her for one week as a replacement for Edward as he is having exam. I was intimidated when I knew that I had to go on-air with her as she is the manager. But when I worked with her, I realise that there is something about her that makes her the manager. Systematic, well-organised and well-planned, she can voice her own points without referring much to the paper. I wish I can talk without referring to papers.

Next would be 7-zai, the ex-Cantonese slot manager and the current vice president of DJ Club. He’s such a great DJ. He can spontaneously change the topic or think of something to say when he is stuck with words. But something worth mentioning is there is technical problem when I went on-air with him. First, when we test our microphones, we realise that 7-zai’s mic is not working.

Then, we tried to figure out what’s wrong by testing the other 2 mics and nothing is wrong with 2 other mics. We figure things out for 5 minutes and when I look at the mic, I saw that the mic is not switch on. We thought that it is some major electronics problem, or maybe the mixer problem, but it was just an unnoticed detail. Who had been so ‘kind’ to switch off the mic?

Lastly will be Sharon, we went on-air together for 3 weeks. I learned to do things more systematically in the studio. Under her guidance, I know how to control the mixer more systematically.

That's what I have been through this semester as a DJ. I had my share of ups and downs and this is a new experience for me as I never thought of being a DJ in anyways, left alone try DJing. It sure do help me a lot to open up to more new experiences in life.

That's all for now.

Back to Earth Again!

Something significant happened to me today. Someone talked to me today and this person made me back to earth. Feels like hell when people will tell the truth, but this hell feeling can bring you back to earth after you are in heaven for such a long time. Yeah, time to back to earth for me, time to back to reality.

The person used the straight-to-your-face way of telling me what I did wrong, which is quite harsh to me. Reality is harsh sometimes, no? And the only person that talk things out gotta be my parents. They will really sit down and talk it over. And it's the best way to get things right without misunderstandings.

And yeah, we talked over it through messenger and I may not talk to the person face to face this time and say sorry, but I'm gonna find ways to meet the person and say that word. It was hurtful to the person for me to say things about the person. The person had always believed that I am not that type who will say bad things about people.

Wanna say thanks to that person too for making things right and understand the situation from others' perspective, a quite mature and critical way of solving problem instead of confrontation or quarelling. Done with the problem now and I now I can put the worries behind, haha. Feel as light as a feather now.

But I wanna get clarification from the others (those who tell 'the person' what I had said) about things that they got misunderstood. No hard feelings for them, because I also wrong in some ways. Yet, they might have misunderstood me in some ways and I want to get things right as soon as possible. Sigh, the problem is, it might takes a long time to make people change their perception about me.

I don't mind if they don't like me, but PLEASE don't include about my family or my school for that matter. You may choose not to like me, but how I act has nothing to do with my family and my school!! Family and school educate me when I am growing up, but how I act is what I chose to be!! I'm pissed with that and sad that they had include my school's name when talking about me.

Whatever it is, up to those people if they wanna hate me and I won't give a damn about it. I have my own live and I have much more important things to care about, I can't control what you think about me, and you people are close-minded to dwell over small things. And still act nice in front of me, how fake is that! Why don't just what you all dissatisfied about me straight away? That would be better.

That's all for now. Will be back with more updates.

I'm Officially On-Air!

Yay yay!!

Something good happened. Guess what? I'm officially accepted to become a junior DJ in
Radio MMU in Cantonese slot but I will be under probation for one semester. Whether I can continue to become a DJ in the second semester or not, will depends on my performance this semester. The probation duration is quite short. One more month to go and I need to make BIG improvement during this period!

I had been on air since 17th July 2007 but I did not tell anyone at that time because I don't want to be pressured while I go on-air for the very first time. I might not be as good as those professional DJs that you see in commercial radio but Radio MMU or DJ Club which runs the radio is a learning platform for students in becoming better DJs with time.

Seniors evaluation on me -
"Shy in talking, read from scripts, not lively, slow response and not spontaneous. There's still room for improvement."

Luckily the senior DJ for my time slot and the Cantonese slot DJ manager gave me some tips to improve myself, so hopefully by the end of the semester I can be a better DJ. The quiet Keat Yee become a DJ? It's a shock to all when I tell them. Haha... Unexpected eh? It's quite fun to see people get shocked.

I still have vivid memory of what I talked on-air for the first time. Haha, but it's too long to share it here because it is an one-hour slot. Too much that we discussed but we did talked about myself. Haha, I remember during on-air my senior said that I looked like a career woman, being independent all the time, don't need company going everywhere.

Thanks to the DJ interview, I can find the song that I had been looking for months on the internet. I heard it when it is used in an advertisement for Taiwanese drama "天使情人". I know nothing about the song so I use hours of my time which is supposed to be used for studying just to look for that song. I streamed through dozens of songs David Tao's songs, after I realise that it's his voice singing that song but to no avail.

"Angel" by David Tao. That's what I heard during the interview. That's the song that I had been searching for months! How happy I am to finally to know that song's name!! I search for that song straight away and realise that it is my recently downloaded songs! I realise that when you are trying too hard, you can't get it. When you are not looking, it comes to you. How irony is that.

That's all for now. More to come.

Stay tune to on Tuesday, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Radio MMU where I'll talk about Horoscope.

The Start of Second Year of University Life

The sense of helplessness is gone for now. Everything seems to be fine for everyone. They seems to move on with their life. The recent case where a person facing a difficult seems to get her life back to normal. After thinking it through, I think I shouldn't burden myself with their problem. I might just listen to their problem but it will be up to them to solve rather than I solve it. The main answer to their problem is themselves and not me.

Anyway, back to my life. I actually planned to take things more slowly rather than a hectic life where I don't even have some time to myself. BUT, things turn out to be like last year where I am now still busy with clubs and events activities. I still go for meetings and I'll be busier if I am to participate in organising events later. I have to slow down for now - not gonna sacrifice my academics for the activities. I haven't even start studying for my subjects YET... sigh.

Looking at the brighter side of things, I am more comfortable with myself now. Some said that I am more confident after the joining the Orientation Committee 2007/2008. What a big compliment! I do feel more comfortable talking now. I try out on new things; I try to hold a conversation longer and more interesting because I tend to be quiet most of the times, and now I try to voice out what I don't like (I tend to keep quiet about if there's something wrong).

There's still room for improvement. If only I can be as aggresive like those people involved in business... After all I'm a business student, to be exact, Marketing student. Of course I need aggresiveness inside me to excel in this area.

There's still one problem now, it's week 6 of studies yet I still can't concentrate in my studies. I can't find the rhythm for this semester yet. Seems like I lost my path. I tend to lost in my thoughts when the lecturer is talking in front. The lecturers make it worse.

One of my Marketing subjects lecturer is really boring. He seems to talk like no one's business. Less than 50% of what he talked about for 3 hours straight is related to the topic that we are studying. We hardly understands what he is talking about with his SUPER THICK Indian accent. I wonder how I am going to do in this subject....

That's all for now. Now back to my studies and work.
