Girls' Day Out

My day starts early today. Sharron, Wan Teang and me suddenly decided to hang out and off we went to Sunway Pyramid half an hour after we decided the location.

Today is special for me because there are a few firsts for us. It is the first time...
... we hang out together in Sunway Pyramid.
... Wan Teang drives to a location together with us.
... Wan Teang drives to Sunway Pyramid.

What can you expect when 3 girls hang out together? Shopping, of course! We were so excited with the discounts offered and this is the good time for us to shop for Chinese New Year clothes. Sharron and Wan Teang bought some clothes respectively while I ended up empty handed. Christmas is just around the corner, so the mall is decorated with trees and decorations that gives warm feeling of the festive season.

Christmas trees made of lights at the main court... brighten up my day =)

Tired of shopping, we had our lunch at Waffle World. I ordered Tuna sandwich while they order chocolate waffle and banana walnut waffle. Prices of the waffles are reasonable by the waffles not as crispy and tasty as those from Alamanda food court. I miss those waffles in Alamanda - the crispy and hot waffle that blends well with cold ice cream.

Me love to hang out with the girls =) Can't wait our 'firsts' in future :D

Happy Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year!!

This is the last day of Chinese New Year, I wish everyone, Happy Chinese New Year!

It's been a great chinese new year for me. My relatives and my family had an one-night stay in Highlands Hotel durin Chinese New Year eve for the third consecutive year. Countdown to Chinese New Year had been the norm for 3 years and I'm enjoying every moment spent in Genting Highlands. Cool and fresh air in genting makes me feel so relaxed. and refreshed.

View of Genting from room in Highlands Hotel.

For some unknown reason, we will bought Chinese New Year clothes in Genting every year. Maybe it is because we only have to mood to shop when in Genting when Chinese New Year is less than 24 hours away. Must be the cool weather there that motivates all of us to shop. I have bought my Chinese New Year clothes in Genting for 3 years.

Me, my sis and cousin in First World Plaza. The CNY decoration and the flowers are nice!!

The decoration with a resemblance of traditional Chinese mansion entrance.

Us with the stuff we bought from First World Plaza.

We had buffet dinner at Coffee Terrace, where there are varieties of food to choose from - Japanese, Western, Malaysian, Chinese, Nyonya, Indian. With unlimited supply food, we all were so full that it's hard for us to move.

Coffee Terrace... The place where we had our buffet dinner. Full house for dinner time!

Done with dinner, us youngsters had a walk around Genting and camwhored before heading to the empty area in front of Highlands Hotel to see Lion Dances performance and fireworks. Sharp at 12 a.m, firecrackers were lighten up one by one. There's firecrackers hung on 16-18 flag poles (lost count of it), so it's long before all the firecrackers were lighten up.

Siblings... Sis, bro and me.

The guys bringing their sexy back.

Girls posing before the fireworks presentation.

Fireworks presentation lasted for 10 minutes but too bad most of time it can't be seen as there was thick fog that night. What a waste :( I did not manage to go into casino this year as all of my cousins not interested to go. Not that I go in and gamble, I just wanna see how people gamble and the strategies used, haha.

Chinese New Year as usual - visits to relatives home, and we have a karaoke session at my cousin's house with free flow of drinks and food. I managed to visit Kok Keong's, Ming En's, Wan Teang's and Sharron's house and got to see friends that I've not seen for long. Happy happy me :D

Wei Song, me, Wan Teang, Sharron, Ming En, Min Nah and Kok Keong at Ming En's house.

The group picture. Gong Xi Fa Cai!!

Sharron, Nean Hua and moi!

Not forgetting visit to Nean Hua's house. It's almost 2 years that I've not seen her!! She left Malaysia for Taiwan to pursue her dream and so happy that she is back to celebrate Chinese New Year. For sure I will visit her. After all, she might not be coming back soon.

With a great beginning, there will be more good things coming to me, hehe.

Wish everyone has a good year ahead!!

Keat Yee is Back!!

Keat Yee is Back! Keat Yee is Back!! *Clap hands*

Yeah, Keat Yee is back after an almost 3 months hiatus... I had not been updating my blog since September due to the hectic schedule as I was busy with assignments and then studied as I had my finals in October. After finals was my holiday, but I was too lazy to update my blog because I wanted to have a rest after a hectic semester - sleepless nights because of completing assignments, study for exams, presentations - AND I also suffered from writer's block once again.

Back to new semester, the schedule is as hectic as ever, with case studies every week for one subject, then busy with DJ Club activities, Yellow Army and also Orientation Committee trip. I do not have much time for myself as also family, where I went back to my home for only twice in 5 weeks. I used to go home almost every week, but this semester I think I had only seen my parents for less than 100 hours. Thus, my blog is abandoned as well.

The last time I went home was on 30th November but my parents was in Singapore that time. So left my brother, my sis and me in the house. I cooked the breakfast and lunch for them but it was just some processed food and it makes me missed my mum's cooking. I can't even remember the last time I ate my home-cooked food.

Enough of that ramble, back to some recent happenings. I just went to Orientation Committee 2007 Port Dickson trip which is from 7th December 2007 to 9th December 2007 and I came back to Cyberjaya feeling unwell. I have flu and also allergy which make me feel unwell. I thought my allergic problem will be over in a matter of days. Instead, it became worse that I need to see a doctor yesterday as I can't stand the itch anymore. Red spots covered both of my legs and hands for now.

Today, I felt so tired that it's hard for me to wake up. Thus, I did not go for a Yellow Army task which I had promised to go for. I felt dizzy this whole afternoon and I talked crap to my room mates without realising it. Luckily, a Nando's waiter lighten up my day!! I went to the Nando's stall in MPH carpark to collect payment from them and then helped my room mate to buy her food at the Nando's stall. The waiter gave me a pack of rice and coleslaw for FREE and he even gave me a cold drink instead of the normal drink! What a nice guy!! Even though it is just some small matters, but I do appreciate what he has done! If it is not for him, I might have been gloomy and flushed-out this whole day.

More updates soon where I will be posting pictures of activities that I had participated in which consumed SO much of my time. It's been a long time since I have time for myself...

That's all for now.

What A Shocking and Hectic Week

Many things had been happening lately and it really makes me think a lot...

In this week alone, I had 1 mid term exam (having exam now even though mid term is 3 weeks ago), 2 presentations, 1 assignment submission but it did not break me down. I still go on, without much sleeping time, wake up late everyday... all just to finish all the work. Even the National Day holiday and weekend are spent on doing work.

No going out at all during the weekend, but hey, this is more important than shopping. I don't like to to shop when it is too crowded, where you need to line up to pay and try on clothes, push around to walk, or walking behind a slow person... you know what I mean.

There will be 2 assignments submission next week and 1 Advanced Managerial Statistics quiz.

Wow!! Work is really stressful as the assignments need to be submitted at almost the same time. I did not sleep much - 3 hours for Wednesday itself just to compile my group's wotk and edit it. Every day, I had been sleeping late. How many times I had vowed not to have last minute work yet everytime I still need to do last minute work... Whose fault is that? Me? My group mates? Hope fully by next semester I won't have last minute work again...

During the Consumer Behaviour this week, my lecturer discussed about the blogging phenomenon and he asked us why people blogged. He wonders why people would even care to read something in blogs that is not related to them. I told him that it's related to have their own identity. The discussion went on and he suddenly said that bloggers are people who do not have the courage to voice out.

When I heard that, I was so shock. But then the lecturer said "No offence" to me because I am the only one who admits to be a blogger in the class. I'm sure there are some other bloggers who did not even dare to admit they blog. But I don't agree with what the lecturer said. Not all bloggers do not dare to voice out their words. I blog because I want to reach out to friends and keep in touch.

Speaking of friends, I received a shocking news from Wen Jian. He will be leaving for UK next week!! That's a little too late for us to know that. There is not even a hint from him that he will further his studies in UK. Chee Wei is the only one in my Form 5 gang that I am still close to who stays in Malaysia. How could I hold back my sadness hearing that news?

First, Lien Ghee left for Japan, then Nean Hua to Taiwan, now Wen Jian will be going to UK, later Yuen Mei will be pursuing her studies in the US. It will be years before I can meet them again. Things will change by then. People change, the environment change. Hopefully we will be still be close by then. Wish them all the best for their future undertakings.

That's all for now.

Gonna back to my work again.

The Start of Second Year of University Life

The sense of helplessness is gone for now. Everything seems to be fine for everyone. They seems to move on with their life. The recent case where a person facing a difficult seems to get her life back to normal. After thinking it through, I think I shouldn't burden myself with their problem. I might just listen to their problem but it will be up to them to solve rather than I solve it. The main answer to their problem is themselves and not me.

Anyway, back to my life. I actually planned to take things more slowly rather than a hectic life where I don't even have some time to myself. BUT, things turn out to be like last year where I am now still busy with clubs and events activities. I still go for meetings and I'll be busier if I am to participate in organising events later. I have to slow down for now - not gonna sacrifice my academics for the activities. I haven't even start studying for my subjects YET... sigh.

Looking at the brighter side of things, I am more comfortable with myself now. Some said that I am more confident after the joining the Orientation Committee 2007/2008. What a big compliment! I do feel more comfortable talking now. I try out on new things; I try to hold a conversation longer and more interesting because I tend to be quiet most of the times, and now I try to voice out what I don't like (I tend to keep quiet about if there's something wrong).

There's still room for improvement. If only I can be as aggresive like those people involved in business... After all I'm a business student, to be exact, Marketing student. Of course I need aggresiveness inside me to excel in this area.

There's still one problem now, it's week 6 of studies yet I still can't concentrate in my studies. I can't find the rhythm for this semester yet. Seems like I lost my path. I tend to lost in my thoughts when the lecturer is talking in front. The lecturers make it worse.

One of my Marketing subjects lecturer is really boring. He seems to talk like no one's business. Less than 50% of what he talked about for 3 hours straight is related to the topic that we are studying. We hardly understands what he is talking about with his SUPER THICK Indian accent. I wonder how I am going to do in this subject....

That's all for now. Now back to my studies and work.

Well-spent Holiday

Announcing: KEAT YEE is back!!

Welcome back! Welcome! (Clap hands)

Well, I was busy studying for finals before this and during the one week break, I was busy cleaning my room, plus my brother will use the PC at home, therefore lead to the lack of updates.

Then Orientation Week for the June intake 2007/2008 arrived. I was in the Orientation Committee 2007/2008 and I therefore I was away for 2 weeks for the orientation.

Now I'm back!!

Last semester break had been a quite fruitful, I cleaned the room and meet up with my friends and shopped for stuff.

Firstly, I meet up with Sharron, Yuen Mei and Wan Teang to watch "Pirates of The Caribbean 3: At World's End". Before the movie, we went to Sushi King for lunch. I had Japanese Curry for lunch. First time tasted Japanese Curry and found it is quite nice even though it is not spicy and a little sour in taste.

We took a few pictures there before we go for the movie. After the movie, we went to a photo shop and print out photos which took us half an hour to decide on the design. That's really a long time....

My cup of tea!!

ME and Yuen Mei with our food, Japanese Curry and Shrimp rice...

Wan Teang, moi, Sharron and Yuen Mei in front of the Times Square theme park.

Next up, I went to meet Chee Wei and Wen Jian in Kuchai Lama for lunch. It's a place called "吹吹水". It is a decent place for friends to hang out and 吹吹水. Haha.... Somehow, I realise that Chee Wei and Wen Jian are of opposite personalities what people will perceive them to be.
Too bad we do not have more time to hang out longer and also the camera out of order while we were taking photos. Luckily the photos can be recovered!! And also thanks to Wen Jian for giving us a lift home.

Chee Wei and me. I looked at my best here in this picture. Must be because of all the sleeping (de-stress) during the holiday.

The best buddies....Chee Wei and Wen Jian.

That's all for now.
More updates coming up.

Farewell for Lien Ghee

Well, 2 weeks ago (23rd March 2007 to be exact) , I went out with Lien Ghee and Chee Wei for an outing since Lien Ghee will be leaving for Japan on 25th March. Wen Jian can't join us as he is working. He's been so hardworking in earning money working part time while studying nowadays, probably because he is excited to get money from working. Haha.. just joking, I know the reason why he wanna works.

Too bad Edwin was in Malacca cos he had his Mid-term exam (I had mine too, but luckily not on that day). And that day wad his birthday, so Chee Wei called him and all of us wished him Happy Birthday.

So only the 3 of us hang out together. We decided to had our lunch in Piccolo Mondo but considering it is quite expensive for a meal, we went to Hauted Restaurant located at Sungai Wang. The place not really haunted anyway, just a little dark with some spooky designs and they had staff dressed in dracula robes. There is a magician who perform magic with cards.

There's a funny scenario where Chee Wei didn't realise that the person had a card on his mouth until we told him so. Haha... They also get a staff wearing a dracula's mask wearing a robe that went to scare people around the restaurant area. Luckily we are not scared by him, haha...

This is the set lunch that ordered by me and Lien Ghee, Napoleanita Fettuccine with crispy crackers and chicken ham (can't really remember the name). Chee Wei ordered a spaghetti with meaty tomato sauce (something like Spaghetti Bolognaise).

Fettuccine... My lunch for the day... Mmm Mmm...quite tasty!

Lien Ghee with her new 'in' hairstyle.

Pretty Zac... that's his new name after he ordered a drink with the word 'pretty' in it which is there in front of him..

Me and Chee Wei... my mum said I looked mature than him in this photo... Is that true? Do I look really that mature?

After that, we went to Hong Kong-styled restaurant in Low Yat Plaza called 'Good Happiness 皆大欢喜' where Chee Wei had a bad experience with the captain there. Since he's ok with going there, we hang out at that place.
Yeah, the captain of the store is there to harass Chee Wei again, with his words. 可怜 Chee Wei... The captain is over friendly, telling us his story that strangers would not bother to know. Maybe he has no one to talk to about his experiences and keep it for so long in his heart... haha.
And he told me that there is no 鸳鸯 and I resort to order milk tea and Chee Wei got the 鸳鸯 that he ordered earlier when I was not there. Damn... He's sooooo bad!

Me and Lien Ghee, can u see that we wear shirt with matching green colours?

Our attempt in camwhoring... the resulting photos are not so good.

So we asked the 'over-friendly' captain to take photos for us. I tell him how to use it and he tell me that he's not that dumb not knowing how to use a camera. I didn't mean that, cos different cameras have different and buttons might be different ma... Damn... He took a picture of us and...

here is it!

All ends not soon afterwards as me and Lien Ghee rushing home for dinner with family. I'm having dinner later with my newlywed aunt who is from Singapore. The food is quite nice and in huge portion! 11 of us can't even finish all of it! Imagine that!

What a nice day I had that day... I did not go to airport to see Lien Ghee depart to Japan. I hate saying farewell. I sure will cry and so she went back to Japan on 25th March 2007. Had to wait for one year later for her to be back for having good times again.

Well, that's all for now.

Lien Ghee Is Back from Japan!

Lien Ghee's back from Japan!

And of course, sure we'll take the chance to ask out and we had the privilege to be one of the earliest to meet her. Luckily we met her early, if not, she will sure be tired of talking about her life in Japan cos everyone sure will be asking about that. Chee Wei and Wen Jian and me will be meeting her at Times Square on Friday (2nd March 2007).

It's been a year since I last met Lien Ghee, before she went to Japan, and time passed so quickly and after one year we met again! Wow, so excited to meet her that I sacrifice my time to commute between Cyberjaya and Times Square to meet her. I'm not going back to home for the weekend as I had another commitment here in my campus: CNYE Dinner Banquet on Sunday (4th March 2007) night, which is the last day of Chinese New Year, or Chinese's Valentine's day or Chap Goh Mei.

Back to the previous topic, I started my journey from Cyberjaya at 9.30 a.m. Waited for bus for about 15 minutes before getting onto RapidKL 429. Reached Putrajaya Sentral bus stop after 15 minutes. Took the bus E1 which costs RM 4. Half an hour later, the bus reached KL Sentral at 11.15 in half an hour.

After got down from the bus, I went to look for the Monorail station. I thought that the station is supposed to be inside KL Sentral as the name of the station is KL Sentral and after looking around, I found the station outside KL Sentral. Damn, if the station is not in KL Sentral, the station shouldn't be named KL Sentral! You can't blame on this, this is the first time I took Monorail from KL Sentral. Whatever.. I got to Times Square anyway.

Waited there for Lien Ghee to arrive and after that, we walked around Times Square as Lien Ghee wanted to get a pair of shoes for herself to change. After getting a pair of heels (which cost only RM 10!) we went to Shin Restaurant in Sungai Wang, a Korean restaurant, to have our lunch. Food there was nice, and we really enjoyed it.

Met with Chee Wei after that and watched a movie titled 'Protege' by Andy Lau, Daniel Wu, Louis Koo, Anita Yuen and Zhang Jing Chu. A quite nice movie to say, and it is up to my expectation. Wen Jian will meet up with us after the movie, but we can't contact him (dunno what happened to his phone line) but I guessed he will be in Borders as he went to MPH in MV to search for a book and yeah, my instinct was correct.

We went to a cafe named '69 Sixty nine' and hang out there. The place is nice, with some old furnitures as the concept of their cafe. We get to catch with each other on what's happening only to realised that I had missed out a lot on their lives. But luckily we can still talk to each other happily and all of them still the same except that they had new experiences in life.

About 6 p.m, all of us had to go home and I alone again back to Cyberjaya taking Monorail, which is crowded with people, because people going home at that time. Missed 3 trains before I can get onto one, and back home again with Rapid KL buses E1 and 429. The buses fare only costed me RM 5 only for travelling to and from KL as the bus passes can be used the whole day. Reached MMU at 8 p.m., exactly 2 hours of bus trip.

I had a good time that day, since it was a year since I met Lien Ghee and Wen Jian (no choice la, he's such a busy guy, hard to ask him out). Can have a good laugh and sharing about our life. These are the people that I can hang out and talk for hours. Too bad that I don't have the pictures taken that day. Will sure upload it once I got it.

That's all for now.
