Girls' Day Out

My day starts early today. Sharron, Wan Teang and me suddenly decided to hang out and off we went to Sunway Pyramid half an hour after we decided the location.

Today is special for me because there are a few firsts for us. It is the first time...
... we hang out together in Sunway Pyramid.
... Wan Teang drives to a location together with us.
... Wan Teang drives to Sunway Pyramid.

What can you expect when 3 girls hang out together? Shopping, of course! We were so excited with the discounts offered and this is the good time for us to shop for Chinese New Year clothes. Sharron and Wan Teang bought some clothes respectively while I ended up empty handed. Christmas is just around the corner, so the mall is decorated with trees and decorations that gives warm feeling of the festive season.

Christmas trees made of lights at the main court... brighten up my day =)

Tired of shopping, we had our lunch at Waffle World. I ordered Tuna sandwich while they order chocolate waffle and banana walnut waffle. Prices of the waffles are reasonable by the waffles not as crispy and tasty as those from Alamanda food court. I miss those waffles in Alamanda - the crispy and hot waffle that blends well with cold ice cream.

Me love to hang out with the girls =) Can't wait our 'firsts' in future :D

GSC Alamanda's National Treasure

GSC Alamanda is opening soon! Thanks to Alvin, we have complimentary tickets to watch movie at GSC Alamanda before the cinema is opened to the public.

So Alvin and us chipmunks watched the 9.30 p.m. screening of "National Treasure 2". Before the show, we went to the washroom, which is new. So we camwhored in the washroom, and Tharan and Chee Wei are gutsy enough to enter the ladies'.

My goodness, they were probably too excited being in the ladies washroom that they requested me to take a picture of them with the sanitary bin. And sure I'm gonna share this picture here. Sharing is caring, muahahahaha.

After the movie, we passed by a Britney advertisement. Again, these guys were so excited about the poster and posed for pictures. Beware of these perverts (Take note of their poses)

Pervs...

And again, Chee Wei and Tharan got excited again. This time is the children's rides. They act like kids that love to go on these rides. Guys, guys...

Tharan and Chee Wei showing their kiddie side

However, on the positive note, they are good companion to watch movies. The 5 of us laughed the loudest in the cinema. I wonder if it's only just the 5 of us understand the jokes? I'm gonna go for a comedy with them definitely. Won't be bored with them around in the cinema ^_^

Of Red Box and J.Co Donuts

It is the fourth day without my eyes. Not my biological eyes of course. It's my speactacles which have been really hard for me to see things around me clearly. I feel like I'm half-blind. It's my fault for not having spectacles. How could I accidentally sat on my glasses?

I'm starting to appreciate my glasses now. All this while I never really like wearing glasses as it makes me look nerdy. But now, how can I survive without glasses for days? I'm so gonna get a new one soon.

Forget about sad things. It's mid-term break for me next week but no rest for me as I need to complete my assignment and study for my mid-term exam. But before that, I'm gonna have some fun.

Karaoke session with my roomies yesterday at Red Box Low Yat Plaza. It just costs us RM 6++ for 2 hours of singing with 2 free drinks (I'm not there to eat food anyway). What a great deal! The karaoke room is spacious! It's a room that can fit up to 15 person and there's only 3 of us inside! I'm lucky that I always get the big room everytime I went there. It's better than Green Box even though Red Box and Green Box are under the same parent company.

I wish we could sing longer. However, I needed to go for dinner. If not, I would have extend my singing time until 9 p.m. which only costs RM 10 more. It's cheap indeed. Never mind. There will still be next time.

Mei Kuan and Ai Ping... My K-partners... We'll go there again soon!

Ai Ping and me...

J. Co Donuts Indulgence

J. Co Donuts, my guilty pleasure. Guilty cos it makes me fat but it's a pleasure to my taste bud. Lining up for half and hour was worth it. Soft dough, smooth cream. It's delectable, it's tasty, it's indulgence, it's my guilty pleasure...

The line at J. Co Donuts & Coffee in The Pavillion.

The donuts!!

Start work from tomorrow onwards. Assignment submission and mid-term exam waiting for me after the mid-term break. And not forgetting to get my glasses done as soon as possible. Life is so blur without glasses on.

Singapore Trip - long due post!

Finally, the LONG OVERDUE post!

I went to Singapore a few months ago, 4 months to be exact and I promised to upload the pics for the Singapore trips yet I postponed it till now. Seems like I can't find any suitable time to upload it... Alright, it might be because I am too lazy to wait for all the pictures to be uploaded.

This is the second time I went to Singapore after 15 years. Third time if I include once when I was still a baby and my sis was not born yet. People was shocked to hear that I only go to Singapore for so few times. What so shocking about it? Do you think that I am that rich to go travelling like others? RM 300 per passport is not cheap plus the currency in Singapore is the double of Malaysia Ringgit.

I went to Singapore on the 16th March 2007 to attend my auntie's wedding which will be on the 17th March 2007. Reached there after 6 hours of car trip. We went to my uncle's house straight away and then to luch in some food court. Had some dim sum, duck meat and others which were really tasty.

After lunch, we went to our uncle's condominium (The Atria if not mistaken) which is just situated nearby his house. The condominium is so expensive that it costs at least Singapore Dollar 1 million for one lot!! That's so costly!! The swimming pool there have a futuristic look.

The swimming pool in the condominium area.

We checked in into our hotel after that, Grand Central which looks like some 3-star hotel that is located in the Petaling Street. The settings are almost like Ria Apartment in Genting which is a bit scary.

The good points of the hotel are: 1) Orchard Road is just within walking distance, I can go shopping! 2) it is nearby the destination for the wedding dinner. Dinner at a food court nearby. I tried a pot mee after I saw a newspaper cutting which was pasted on the stall. Quite nice I would say.

I got to meet my cousin which was really smart and I got to see his collection of awards and books that will impress anyone. I just go wild when I saw the collection of story books! 2 full racks!! More than 100 of them! Impressive...

Saturday is my aunt's wedding ceremony, a simple one where they say their vows in their home with blessings from their dearest family and friends. Wish that they can be together forever, 白头到老!I did not post any of the picture of the newlyweds as I did not ask permission from them so let it be.

We went to some tourist hot spots there in Singapore.

My mum and dad at the lake side.

Sis, mum and me with The Esplanade in the background.

Me with The Merlion. I remember I had a picture of me crying looking at The Merlion as I am too scared of it when I was just a little girl.

Setting of the wedding dinner hall at Grand Hyatt hotel. The setting of the hall simple yet nice and classy.

My sis, me and my cousins. My cousins are cute, aren't they?

The food there was delicious. Till now I still can't forget the dessert, Mango with yam paste soup. They use mangoes to get the juice. The texture of the soup is thick and smooth that you got more satisfaction than eating chocolate!!

That's all for the Singapore trip post. It was so long due that I forgotten all the details.....

The Train

It's the time of the year again - Sales!!

Thus, I went to mid valley on saturday with my mum and sis to look for bargain items.

We shopped till 8pm, and we went home by KTM. We heard an announcement that there will be delay on the train schedule as there is a landslide happened around the area of Negeri Sembilan.

Since the KTM Mid Valley is one of the busiest station during weekend, the station will be crowded with people. And the crowd keep building up while waiting for the train to arrive. The train was delayed by 10 minutes. And by the time the train arrived, it is almost full.

No doubt, all of the people will rush into the train so that they can get home earlier and would not want to wait for the next train to arrive.

Inside the train, people was packed just like sardin fishes in a can. And this is not the first time KTM trains not arriving on schedule and that day, landslide make the crowd even more than usual!!

It is even worse than you take a Monorail during rush hour. There will be a large crowd when take a Monorail during rush hour but at least there would be a safety guard at each door that guide people to line up and go in accordingly to go into the train.

Not with KTM. No safety guard, no barrier and the people will just push you from behind, squeezing in order to get in. I can't even get to hold any bar inside the train. It is so crowded that you can stand and balance yourself without holding anything. Imagine that!!

I'm not going to Mid Valley anytime soon unless there is someone who will give me a ride there or I go home early, before 4 p.m.

That's all for now.

Farewell for Lien Ghee

Well, 2 weeks ago (23rd March 2007 to be exact) , I went out with Lien Ghee and Chee Wei for an outing since Lien Ghee will be leaving for Japan on 25th March. Wen Jian can't join us as he is working. He's been so hardworking in earning money working part time while studying nowadays, probably because he is excited to get money from working. Haha.. just joking, I know the reason why he wanna works.

Too bad Edwin was in Malacca cos he had his Mid-term exam (I had mine too, but luckily not on that day). And that day wad his birthday, so Chee Wei called him and all of us wished him Happy Birthday.

So only the 3 of us hang out together. We decided to had our lunch in Piccolo Mondo but considering it is quite expensive for a meal, we went to Hauted Restaurant located at Sungai Wang. The place not really haunted anyway, just a little dark with some spooky designs and they had staff dressed in dracula robes. There is a magician who perform magic with cards.

There's a funny scenario where Chee Wei didn't realise that the person had a card on his mouth until we told him so. Haha... They also get a staff wearing a dracula's mask wearing a robe that went to scare people around the restaurant area. Luckily we are not scared by him, haha...

This is the set lunch that ordered by me and Lien Ghee, Napoleanita Fettuccine with crispy crackers and chicken ham (can't really remember the name). Chee Wei ordered a spaghetti with meaty tomato sauce (something like Spaghetti Bolognaise).

Fettuccine... My lunch for the day... Mmm Mmm...quite tasty!

Lien Ghee with her new 'in' hairstyle.

Pretty Zac... that's his new name after he ordered a drink with the word 'pretty' in it which is there in front of him..

Me and Chee Wei... my mum said I looked mature than him in this photo... Is that true? Do I look really that mature?

After that, we went to Hong Kong-styled restaurant in Low Yat Plaza called 'Good Happiness 皆大欢喜' where Chee Wei had a bad experience with the captain there. Since he's ok with going there, we hang out at that place.
Yeah, the captain of the store is there to harass Chee Wei again, with his words. 可怜 Chee Wei... The captain is over friendly, telling us his story that strangers would not bother to know. Maybe he has no one to talk to about his experiences and keep it for so long in his heart... haha.
And he told me that there is no 鸳鸯 and I resort to order milk tea and Chee Wei got the 鸳鸯 that he ordered earlier when I was not there. Damn... He's sooooo bad!

Me and Lien Ghee, can u see that we wear shirt with matching green colours?

Our attempt in camwhoring... the resulting photos are not so good.

So we asked the 'over-friendly' captain to take photos for us. I tell him how to use it and he tell me that he's not that dumb not knowing how to use a camera. I didn't mean that, cos different cameras have different and buttons might be different ma... Damn... He took a picture of us and...

here is it!

All ends not soon afterwards as me and Lien Ghee rushing home for dinner with family. I'm having dinner later with my newlywed aunt who is from Singapore. The food is quite nice and in huge portion! 11 of us can't even finish all of it! Imagine that!

What a nice day I had that day... I did not go to airport to see Lien Ghee depart to Japan. I hate saying farewell. I sure will cry and so she went back to Japan on 25th March 2007. Had to wait for one year later for her to be back for having good times again.

Well, that's all for now.

Lien Ghee Is Back from Japan!

Lien Ghee's back from Japan!

And of course, sure we'll take the chance to ask out and we had the privilege to be one of the earliest to meet her. Luckily we met her early, if not, she will sure be tired of talking about her life in Japan cos everyone sure will be asking about that. Chee Wei and Wen Jian and me will be meeting her at Times Square on Friday (2nd March 2007).

It's been a year since I last met Lien Ghee, before she went to Japan, and time passed so quickly and after one year we met again! Wow, so excited to meet her that I sacrifice my time to commute between Cyberjaya and Times Square to meet her. I'm not going back to home for the weekend as I had another commitment here in my campus: CNYE Dinner Banquet on Sunday (4th March 2007) night, which is the last day of Chinese New Year, or Chinese's Valentine's day or Chap Goh Mei.

Back to the previous topic, I started my journey from Cyberjaya at 9.30 a.m. Waited for bus for about 15 minutes before getting onto RapidKL 429. Reached Putrajaya Sentral bus stop after 15 minutes. Took the bus E1 which costs RM 4. Half an hour later, the bus reached KL Sentral at 11.15 in half an hour.

After got down from the bus, I went to look for the Monorail station. I thought that the station is supposed to be inside KL Sentral as the name of the station is KL Sentral and after looking around, I found the station outside KL Sentral. Damn, if the station is not in KL Sentral, the station shouldn't be named KL Sentral! You can't blame on this, this is the first time I took Monorail from KL Sentral. Whatever.. I got to Times Square anyway.

Waited there for Lien Ghee to arrive and after that, we walked around Times Square as Lien Ghee wanted to get a pair of shoes for herself to change. After getting a pair of heels (which cost only RM 10!) we went to Shin Restaurant in Sungai Wang, a Korean restaurant, to have our lunch. Food there was nice, and we really enjoyed it.

Met with Chee Wei after that and watched a movie titled 'Protege' by Andy Lau, Daniel Wu, Louis Koo, Anita Yuen and Zhang Jing Chu. A quite nice movie to say, and it is up to my expectation. Wen Jian will meet up with us after the movie, but we can't contact him (dunno what happened to his phone line) but I guessed he will be in Borders as he went to MPH in MV to search for a book and yeah, my instinct was correct.

We went to a cafe named '69 Sixty nine' and hang out there. The place is nice, with some old furnitures as the concept of their cafe. We get to catch with each other on what's happening only to realised that I had missed out a lot on their lives. But luckily we can still talk to each other happily and all of them still the same except that they had new experiences in life.

About 6 p.m, all of us had to go home and I alone again back to Cyberjaya taking Monorail, which is crowded with people, because people going home at that time. Missed 3 trains before I can get onto one, and back home again with Rapid KL buses E1 and 429. The buses fare only costed me RM 5 only for travelling to and from KL as the bus passes can be used the whole day. Reached MMU at 8 p.m., exactly 2 hours of bus trip.

I had a good time that day, since it was a year since I met Lien Ghee and Wen Jian (no choice la, he's such a busy guy, hard to ask him out). Can have a good laugh and sharing about our life. These are the people that I can hang out and talk for hours. Too bad that I don't have the pictures taken that day. Will sure upload it once I got it.

That's all for now.
